Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in the day-to-day management and operation of the kitchen.
- Prepare and present dishes to the highest fine dining standards, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate junior chefs, fostering a positive and professional kitchen culture.
- Maintain exceptional food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in accordance with industry regulations.
- Assist with stock control, ordering, inventory management, and minimising food waste.
- Ensure smooth kitchen operations during service while maintaining efficiency under pressure.
- Contribute creatively to menu development, seasonal dishes, and new culinary concepts.
- Monitor food quality, portion control, and plating standards.
- Work collaboratively with the front-of-house team to deliver an outstanding guest experience.
- Step into the Head Chef's role when required and support the overall success of the kitchen.
Minimum Requirements
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or an accomplished Senior Chef de Partie in a fine dining or luxury hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of modern culinary techniques, food preparation, and kitchen operations.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
- Exceptional organisational and time management abilities.
- Ability to perform under pressure without compromising quality or attention to detail.
- Passion for innovative cuisine and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Excellent understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
- Professional attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to excellence.
- Reliable transport and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
