Systems Engineer II
12 Months Contract
To provide specialist technical expertise and support in installing; testing; tuning; optimising; diagnosing problems; repairing; upgrading and maintaining both externally and internally supplied hardware and systems software (i.e. operating systems; data management products; office automation products; embedded systems); and other utility enabling software and related equipment.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-quality software solutions using C# and .NET technologies. The role emphasizes automation (including test automation), DevOps integration, and system reliability to enhance operational efficiency within an enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain applications using C# and .NET frameworks

Build and enhance automation solutions, including test automation frameworks
-
Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts (Selenium preferred)
-
Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Azure Test Plans
-
Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services
-
Ensure code quality through unit, integration, and automated testing
-
Participate in system design, code reviews, and technical troubleshooting
-
Support production environments, including incident resolution and root cause analysis
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Dev, QA, Infrastructure, Business)

Adhere to governance, security, and compliance standards
-
Contribute to Agile delivery and continuous improvement initiatives
Technical Skills Required

Strong proficiency in C# and .NET / .NET Core

Experience with test automation (Selenium preferred)

Experience integrating test automation within Azure DevOps (CI/CD pipelines)

Working knowledge of Azure Test Plans for test management and execution

Experience in automation development (process automation, scripting, or RPA exposure)

Solid understanding of API development (RESTful services)

Database experience (SQL Server or similar)

Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git)

Understanding of SDLC, DevOps practices, and Agile methodologies
Experience & Qualifications

Minimum 5 years' experience in software development

Proven experience in C#/.NET development and automation

Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field

Experience in the financial services sector advantageous (not mandatory)
