Job Title: After-Sales Quality Engineer

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide technical quality support for After-Sales operations, field investigation, dealer support activities, resolution of vehicle quality concerns, and field failures.
- Ensure proper technical communication between After-Sales operations and manufacturing departments and establish and manage the Voice of the Customer (VOC) system from the assembly plant quality perspective.
- Conduct technical training support for dealerships, After-Sales teams and internal personnel.
- Ensure aftermarket accessories comply with OEM quality, safety, legal, and vehicle homologation compatibility requirements. Prepare technical reports, quality analysis reports, and management presentations. Support implementation of corrective action systems related to field quality concerns
- Ensure vehicles delivered from our plant meet company quality standards and OEM release requirements and support the monitoring of vehicle quality performance from assembly plant through dealer delivery.
- Coordinate with production, logistics, PDI, and After-Sales teams to resolve quality concerns before vehicle delivery and monitor dealer-reported assembly quality concerns and field feedback. Develop, review, support, and approve After-Sales technical repair and rework procedures
- Conduct technical training support for dealerships, After-Sales teams, and internal personnel.
- Support technical awareness training regarding recurring field quality issues and repair quality standards.
- Support immediate containment activities for critical field quality concerns. Coordinate investigations related to repeat failures, technical campaigns, and safety-related issues.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Matric Certificate
- National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or related field.
- Trade Test qualifications as Petrol or Diesel Technician will be advantageous.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in automotive technical quality related OEM environment
- Valid driver’s license. Must be willing to travel when required.
- Must be prepared to support field investigations and dealer technical activities outside normal working hours where required
