Executive Assistant (Finance & Operations)-Rosebank, Johannesburg
We are seeking a highly organised Executive Assistant to support the Director of a boutique wealth management firm. This is a varied role combining executive support, client relationship management, financial administration, payment processing, compliance coordination, and office operations. You will become the operational backbone of the business, ensuring the Director and wider team can focus on delivering exceptional client outcomes.
The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and thrives in a structured, fast-paced financial services environment.
Requirements:
Education
- Matric
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline is required.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in finance, business administration, law or a related field is advantageous.
- Secretarial or office administration diploma or certification is advantageous.
Skills & Experience
- Essential:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in an administrative, operational, financial support, or secretarial role.
- Strong numeracy and high attention to detail, particularly in payment processing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience handling sensitive client information with discretion and professionalism.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines independently.
- A track record of reliability and accuracy in a process-driven environment.
- Comfortable using digital document signing platforms (experience with QuicklySign or similar is advantageous).
- Demonstrable proficiency in AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude, used responsibly for drafting and administrative tasks with appropriate verification in a regulated environment.
- Advantageous:
- Experience in a financial services, wealth management, or regulated environment.
- Familiarity with FSCA, FAIS, SARB, or SARS compliance requirements.
- Experience with investment platforms such as Investec, Anchor Capital, Sanlam, Glacier, or Ninety One.
- Exposure to foreign exchange or cross-border payment processing.
- Working knowledge of bookkeeping principles.
- Experience with CRM or practice management systems.
- Familiarity with Agrarius or similar financial planning and proposal tools.
- Currently studying toward a relevant qualification in finance, law, compliance, or business administration.
