The Executive Manager: Business Development & Sales will be responsible to drive strategic growth and order intake through the full commercial cycle: from international market strategy, through complex negotiations, to signed contracts and long-term programs. The incumbent is responsible for the management of Business Development, sales, customer relationships and marketing initiatives to increase market and sales share and order intake for RDM.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate and contribute towards the formulation of strategic business and sales objectives for RDM.
- Transpose overall RDM strategic business and sales objectives into functional objectives within allocated area of responsibility.
- Structure and lead execution of business development and sales objectives within allocated area of responsibility.
- Own annual order intake target, pipeline and backlog management
Manage complex tender cycles: RFI RFP Technical & Commercial Bid Contract Negotiation- Award
- Build a strong Order Intake pipeline aligned with RDM Objectives
- Active coordination with Project Management & Production teams
- Confirm which RDM business solutions will be suitable for the market and sales opportunity.
- Pre-empt requirements through market research/market and sales awareness and engagement with stakeholders.
- Prepare and implement various capture methods for business development.
- Review competitor plans and effect of their products and services on opportunity management.
- Prepare pricing strategies according to customer budgets and procurement methods.
- Develop network with multi-layer relationships from end user to sales partners to ensure access to tender documents.
- Contract suitable partners within market to execute strategies successfully.
- Coordinate and align with management team.
