Location: Johannesburg, South Africa
Salary: R7,500 - R8,000 NEG
Requirements:
Tertiary Education: A relevant culinary qualification is essential.
Passion for Pastry: A love for pastry arts, with the drive to create high-quality desserts and baked goods.
Experience: Some experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role is preferred, ideally within a restaurant setting.
Creativity: Ability to assist in creating visually appealing and delicious desserts that will delight guests.
Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail in both taste and presentation.
Team Collaboration: A team player who can work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Pastry Preparation: Assist in preparing and presenting a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods to the restaurant’s high standards.
Menu Support: Work with the Head Pastry Chef to develop new pastry items and seasonal dessert menus.
Quality Control: Ensure consistency in taste and presentation, maintaining the restaurant’s reputation for excellence.
Inventory Assistance: Help manage ingredients, ensuring freshness and availability.
Health & Safety: Adhere to health and safety regulations, keeping a clean and organized work environment.
