Responsibilities:
1. Artisan Baking:
- Utilise artisan baking techniques to produce a variety of high-quality bread, pastries, and other
baked goods.
- Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and appearance of all baked products.
2. Production:
- Manage high-volume production to meet the demands of the hotel and bakery.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to plan and execute baking schedules.
3. Quality Control:
- Conduct regular quality checks on ingredients and finished products.
- Monitor oven temperatures, humidity levels, and other factors to ensure optimal baking
conditions.
4. Recipe Development:
- Contribute to the development and improvement of recipes, ensuring innovation and freshness in
the bakery offerings.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to align baking with overall menu themes and concepts.
5. Organisational Skills:
- Maintain a well-organised and clean bakery workspace.
- Efficiently manage inventory, ensuring adequate stock of ingredients and supplies.
6. Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to health and safety standards in the bakery, including proper food handling and
sanitation practices.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Baker with a focus on artisan baking.
- Knowledge of a variety of baking techniques, including sourdough, laminated dough, and specialty
pastries.
- Ability to work in a high-volume production environment.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Creativity in recipe development and presentation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Working Hours:
