A multi-faceted boutique hotel and spa seeks an experienced hotel or convention centre Banqueting manager with the following essential working experience as listed below: -

3 Year Hosptaility Managment Diploma
-
Minumum of 4 years as a senior manager in a Banquet department with a minumum of 4 venues.

Must have hands on banquet co-ordination experience.

Main job is to ensure all client needs and requirements will be met.

Work with the Executive Chef, Restaurant Supervisors and F&B service staff to ensure all arrangements and details have been dealt with.

Ensure that the Banqueting Department provides quick efficient service throughout the event or conference.

Arranges and ensures the proper sequence of service for each event.

Assist the F&B Manager and Executive Chef in menu planning, development and meal specials

Assist the Banqueting coordinator in marketing the Hotel’s Banqueting Facilities in order to achieve and exceed budgets.

Control of all Banqueting crockery, cutlery, glassware, linen and equipment.

Actively participate, supervisor and manage the 10, 20 and 30 day stock takes.

Complete Function sheets accurately and timeously.

Complete of Banqueting forecasts and budgets.
-
Control the inventory and establish relationships with suppliers to ensure the Hotel receives competitive rates.

Ensure proper cash management and cash up procedures are followed by all Banqueting staff as per Company Policy.

Ensure that the Conferencing and Banqueting venues and store rooms are opened and closed as per Company Policy.

Ensure that the work schedule for staff is completed, timely in advance.

Minimum 4 years’ experience as a 4 or 5* hotel banqueting manager in a large volume hotel - must have managed a multioutlet property.

Must currently be in a Banqueting Manager / Business Optimisation Manager position in a 4/5* hotels with over 300 rooms or large volume banqueting facility (catering for over 700 pax)

Stable track record ie minimum 16 months at last / current employer

Drivers licence and own transport essential
