Industry Manager: Agriculture and Animal Nutrition
IMCD South Africa is looking for an experienced Industry Manager who will play a crucial role in our ambition to become more technically insights driven and market/consumer, trends/customer focused. The Industry Manager will be based at the IMCD ‘s Randburg office reporting into the Business Unit Manager: Pharma.
Person Profile: Targeted Skills & Capabilities
- Relevant scientific tertiary qualification, with between 5 - 10 years industry specific sales experience.

Experience and knowledge of regulatory requirements in these industries.

In-depth knowledge of functional raw materials.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Be resilient, and able to multi-task and work under pressure.

Be solution-focused.

Have high independence and self-motivation.

Be a team player – supporting colleagues when needed and working as part of a team is essential to our success.

Being highly numerate – giving quotes, placing orders, preparing reports or working with spreadsheets. Being able to spot discrepancies, working with percentages and in general be comfortable working with numbers.

Be computer literate.

Experience in a multinational company on operational level will be an advantage.

Enjoy travel.
The position is responsible for:
- Distribution of raw materials into the Agricultural and Animal Nutrition segments

Maintaining the existing customer base, as well as identifying new opportunities.

Development and expansion of product segments with strategic importance

Creation and submission of offers, including price responsibility.

Independent processing of customer inquiries including complaints.
- Technical advice to customers on the development of formulations, including appropriate sampling.

Market analysis of customers, products, competitors and application markets

Report maintenance and documentation in the CRM system (Salesforce)

Responsibility for budget and requirements planning.

Collaboration and participation in trade fairs and customer seminars as sales promotion measures

Stock Management: Working closely with Product Managers to ensure an optimal stock holding.
Expected Qualification/Education:
Bachelors Degree in Chemistry or one of the other sciences. An additional business degree would be an advantage but not essential. Alternatively candidates can bring a business degree with relevant deep industry knowledge.
Work Experience:
Ideally between 5 and 10 years of work experience in the relevant industries. Multi sector experience is appreciated.
Primary Job Location:
275 Oak Avenue, Ferndale, Randburg
Travel:
Local and Regional to visit customers. International when required.
