CREDIT CONTROLLER
Cape Town (THIS POSITION IS BASED IN ATLANTIS AND YOU HAVE TO BE TRAVELLING DISTANCE FROM THE PLANT)
Broad Purpose / Function:
We have a unique opportunity available for a Credit Controller with one of our leading manufacturing companies in the Cape Town.
If you are a dynamic, energetic and goal driven individual with a passion for finance, and a proven track record of at least 5 years in the industry as a Credit Controller, this position might be the right fit for you.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of customer accounts
- Adherence to the financial control environment
- Reconcile and review all open items on account to ensure items do not age and are resolved in good time
- Build relationships with Shared Service Centre in Manila (for payment processing)
- Effectively manage customer claims to ensure credit notes are posted accurately and in good time
- Liaise with customer team and external resources to understand customer risk profiles
- Manage customer master data on existing accounts and new accounts opened
- Manage trade promotion processes to ensure trade promotion invoices are credited or paid on a weekly basis
- Send monthly statements to customers
- Manage and build on relationships with Customer Services, Supply Chain and Commercial teams to ensure effective process flows
- Positively contribute to the Accounts Receivable team and ensure team goals are met
Qualifications:
- Matric (Accounting or Math’s advantageous)
- Credit Management 1, 2 and 3 (Advantageous)
- At least 5 Years in Accounts Receivable in the FMCG industry
Experience:
- At least 5 years’ experience in a Credit Control environment
- Proven track record in a FMCG environment
- Working knowledge of customer accounts and claims
- SAP experience would be advantageous
- Excel intermediate skills
- Strong communication skills
