IQbusiness is looking for a skilled Data Loss Prevention (DLP) specialist to join our Data Governance team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data protection principles and experience in implementing DLP solutions to mitigate risks associated with data loss or leakage. As a DLP specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data protection strategies and technologies within our clients.
Responsibilities:

Develop and implement data loss prevention policies, standards, and procedures to ensure the protection of sensitive such as a data classification, data retention, and archiving, data encryption, data masking and email labelling.

Collaborate with stakeholders to assess data protection needs and design appropriate solutions.

Configure and manage DLP tools and technologies to monitor and enforce data protection policies.

Conduct risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend DLP controls.

Investigate security incidents related to data loss or leakage and implement corrective actions.

Provide guidance and training, where needed, on data protection best practices and compliance requirements.

Provide guidance on the implementation of a DLP programme.

Stay current with industry trends and advancements in DLP technologies and practices.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

5+ years proven experience as a DLP specialist or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).

Hands-on experience with DLP tools such as Purview, Symantec DLP, McAfee DLP, or similar solutions.

Familiarity with network security principles and technologies (firewalls, proxies, IDS/IPS).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and prioritize effectively.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.
