Purpose of the Role:
The Validations and Payout Consultant plays a critical role in validating and approving vehicle finance applications to ensure alignment with our client's governance, risk, and compliance standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, sound knowledge of risk appetite and processes, and excellent customer service skills to support dealers, finance & insurance (F&I) representatives, and internal stakeholders. This is a target-driven role, requiring a minimum of 34 deals to be closed daily.
Key Responsibilities:
Application Assessment & Validation
- Assess and validate vehicle finance applications in line with the relevant risk and governance frameworks.
- Ensure customer profiles match submitted documentation and credit bureau information.
- Identify outstanding or incorrect documents and request all necessary information to complete validation.
Risk & Compliance
- Understand and apply the risk appetite and policies throughout the validation and payout process.
- Conduct thorough checks to ensure compliance with internal credit policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Risk, Credit, and Sales teams to resolve discrepancies and avoid processing delays.
Customer & Dealer Engagement
- Communicate effectively with dealers and F&I representatives regarding required amendments or documentation corrections.
- Provide guidance and support to internal and external customers, ensuring queries are resolved promptly and professionally.
- Deliver an exceptional service experience through all interactions, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure all work is performed accurately, timeously, and according to defined quality and governance standards.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail to mitigate risk and support a seamless vehicle financing journey.
- Assist in identifying process improvements to streamline validation and payout functions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric (Essential)
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Banking, and/or Risk (Advantageous)
- Experience in vehicle finance, validations, or credit assessment (Advantageous)
- Knowledge of banking operations, risk processes, and compliance standards
- Exposure to client service in a financial services environment
