We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to play a crucial role in a luxury hospitality group based in Bryanston. If you’re ready to manage finances with precision and passion, this role is for you!
What You'll Do:
Financial Wizardry: Assist in budget compilation and develop programs to ensure the efficient and profitable running of our hotels.
Daily Precision: Accurately complete and submit daily, weekly, and monthly returns according to company standards.
Invoice Guru: Process supplier invoices, resolve queries, and handle accruals & prepayments.
Cash & Reconciliation: Balance cash, floats, and dockets, and reconcile petty cash. Verify F&B receiving and ensure invoices match POs and receipts.
Payroll Pro: Complete monthly payroll and statutory payments using VIP Payroll (a big advantage if you’re skilled!).
Reporting Maestro: Prepare and present monthly financial packs, highlight variances, and ensure adherence to financial manuals.
Stock & Documentation: Manage stocktaking, ensure documentation accuracy, and handle petty cash securely.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience: 2-4 years in a senior accounts role within the hospitality industry. Proven track record in managing day-to-day financials.
Qualifications: Matric is a must, further qualification is a bonus.
Systems Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), Pastel, VIP Payroll, and understanding of Hospitality PMS systems like OPERA.
Skills: Excellent leadership, commercial acumen, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Reliability: Strong attention to detail, ability to handle queries, and ensure effective control systems.
