- The primary function of the Test Analyst is to bridge the gap between the customer requirements and the technical implementations or configuration, ensuring that the product functions as intended. The Test Analyst will be responsible for the following:
- Review requirements to ensure a clear understanding of the requirement allowing for effective testing.
- Prepares and executes Test Plans.
- Logs and tracks defects via the relevant system.
- UAT / Functional Testing to ensure that the delivered outputs align to the client requirements.
The Test Analyst serves as the quality gatekeeper, actively using the software that they are testing, using every function and tool, searching for results regarding performance, reliability, bugs and any other failures.
• Implement and Provide input for Test Plans and time frames. • Keeping within agreed time frames. • Design Test Cases. • Create Test scenarios. • Check / Review the Test Cases. • Keep track of the new requirements. • Perform functional testing duties. • Perform regression testing duties. • Perform negative testing. • Report bugs, track defects, resolve issues with the developers. • Track problem reports using Jira. • Produce test evaluation reports. • Ensure that hours are recorded correctly and accurately onto Time Logging System. • Perform end to end testing. • Perform Run to live testing after production implementation. • Provide Client UAT & Go-Live support. • Logging of time accurately and timeously logging system. • Provide feedback and updates to relevant manager and or supervisor.
