REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING
- Grade 10 & Boiler certificate
REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 3 years experience
- 1 year experience in animal feed manufacturing environment will be an advantage
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Effective and SAFE operating of the boiler as per steps in Boiler operating manual, checklists, SOPs
- Complete pre-shift inspection on boiler
- Complete pressure readings on log sheets
- Conduct quality control water test
- Comply with all requirements for Occupational Health and Safety
- Ensure that the work area and equipment are clean at all times
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/ COMPETENCIES
- Sound operating knowledge of boilers
- Mechanical knowledge
- Health and Safety relations
- Boiler operating skills - completion of log sheets according to law
BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES
- Self-motivated and reliable
- Able to handle and work under pressure
- Able to work shifts, overtime and Public Holidays as per operational requirements of the site
