Job Purpose:
The External Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business opportunities and driving revenue growth by promoting and selling the company's training and development programs. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying prospects, building relationships, and closing sales with businesses and organizations in various industries.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development:
- Identify and target potential clients through research, networking, and cold calling.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads and prospects.
- Conduct market analysis to identify new business opportunities and stay informed of industry trends.
2. Client Relationship Management:
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers in target organizations.
- Conduct presentations and demonstrations of training programs to potential clients.
- Regularly follow up with prospects to move them through the sales process.
3. Sales Execution:
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals tailored to the needs of each client.
- Negotiate contracts and close sales deals to meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful onboarding and delivery of training programs.
4. Account Management:
- Maintain ongoing communication with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
- Provide feedback to the product development team based on client needs and market demands.
- Manage client accounts, ensuring timely renewals and repeat business.
5. Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status in the CRM system.
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve sales strategies and processes.
6. Continuous Learning:
- Stay informed about the company's training programs and industry trends to effectively communicate value propositions.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to represent the company and generate leads.
- Take full responsibility to resolve customer queries, problems, and complaints.
