VACANCY: FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
The Sernick Group has a position available for a Financial Controller at our Head Office in Kroonstad. The position reports directly to the responsible Financial Manager in the Sernick Group. Sernick is a diversified organisation with its focus on agriculture and agricultural processing activities.
You will be supported by a highly experienced finance team and work closely with our executive management team.
REQUIREMENTS
- BTech or BCom degree in Internal Audit, Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field. (Professional qualifications e.g., SAICA, CIMA are advantageous)
- Two or more years’ experience in Accounting or Cost Management (Controlling) Experience in a Production Environment will be advantageous.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Advanced numerical and analytical skills.
· Excellent professional work standard.
· Systems driven, detail orientated and able to function independently.
· Able to function effectively in a highly pressurised production environment.
· Own transport and a valid Code EB licence.
· Clean criminal record.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary function of this position will be:
· Assist the Finance and Operations Teams to compile and maintain the financial reports, which include balance sheets and income statements.
· Controlling of fixed and variable costs and the reporting of the information monthly.
· Prepare management reports and provide recommendations for cost management and increased production efficiencies.
· Analysing results of control checks and follow-ups with management on deviations.
· Monthly analysis on stock movements.
· Manage the activities of finance employees reporting to this position.
