We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a passionate and dedicated Afrikaans Teacher to join a neurodivergent school. This is an excellent opportunity for an educator who is patient, compassionate, and committed to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Requirements
* Relevant teaching qualification (B.Ed. or equivalent)
* 2–5 years of teaching experience
* Current SACE registration
* Fluent in Afrikaans and English
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills
* Patient, empathetic, and adaptable
* Experience teaching neurodivergent learners or learners with special educational needs will be an added advantage
Key Responsibilities
* Teach Afrikaans in line with the CAPS curriculum
* Plan and deliver engaging, learner-centred lessons
* Create a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
* Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback
* Work collaboratively with therapists, support staff, and parents where required
* Support the academic, social, and emotional development of learners
