Driver / Team Leader – The Garden Crew
The Garden Crew is looking for a reliable, motivated, and hands-on Driver / Team Leader to lead our garden maintenance team. This role involves safely transporting the team and equipment, supervising daily work on-site, ensuring high-quality service, managing client relationships, and providing regular feedback to the owner.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport the team, equipment, and materials to and from client sites.
- Supervise the daily activities of the garden maintenance team.
- Allocate tasks and ensure work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Conduct quality checks before leaving each property.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients.
- Address client concerns professionally and resolve issues where possible.
- Report client feedback, complaints, compliments, and maintenance requirements to the owner.
- Identify opportunities for additional work or upselling services and communicate these to the owner.
- Ensure all tools, equipment, and vehicles are clean, maintained, and used correctly.
- Complete daily reports on work completed, staff attendance, incidents, and any challenges experienced.
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed.
- Assist the team with general garden maintenance, including mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, planting, weeding, and clean-ups.
Requirements
- Valid South African driver's licence (Code 10 preferred).
- Valid PDP is an advantage.
- Previous experience leading or supervising a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to motivate staff and maintain high work standards.
- Reliable, honest, and punctual.
- Physically fit and willing to work alongside the team.
- Able to work independently and solve problems on-site.

Pay: R45,00 - R60,00 per hour
