The Inventory Checker is responsible for ensuring all inbound stock received into the warehouse is accurately checked, counted, verified, and recorded. This role plays a critical part in maintaining inventory accuracy by validating deliveries against purchase orders and ensuring all stock is correctly received into the warehouse system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Check and verify all incoming stock against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Count and inspect deliveries for accuracy, damages, or shortages.
- Capture and update received stock in the warehouse system.
- Report and assist in resolving stock discrepancies.
- Ensure stock is correctly labelled and stored.
- Maintain accurate receiving documentation and records.
- Support stock counts and inventory audits.
- Follow company inventory control and safety procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- 2–3 years of experience in receiving inventory control, warehouse operations, or stock management.
- Experience checking supplier deliveries and purchase orders.
- Basic computer literacy and experience with warehouse management systems.
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Reliable, honest, and accountable.
