Experience Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor required for a hotel based in Sandton.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will oversee housekeeping operations, ensuring that all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. You will lead and motivate the housekeeping team, ensuring that daily tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard, enhancing the overall guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise Housekeeping Staff: Lead the housekeeping team, including training, scheduling, and assigning tasks to ensure efficient daily operations.

Quality Control: Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure they meet cleanliness standards. Address any areas that need improvement and follow up to ensure issues are resolved.

Inventory Management: Manage housekeeping supplies and linen inventory, ensuring stock levels are maintained and ordering as necessary.

Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that cleaning procedures comply with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for guests and staff.

Guest Satisfaction: Respond to guest requests and complaints regarding housekeeping services in a prompt and professional manner, ensuring guest satisfaction.

Team Development: Provide on-the-job training and support to housekeeping staff, encouraging professional development and ensuring adherence to hotel standards.

Report Maintenance Issues: Work closely with the maintenance department to report any issues identified during room inspections, ensuring timely repairs.

Administrative Duties: Complete necessary administrative tasks, such as daily housekeeping reports, staff schedules, and performance evaluations.
Qualifications:

Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.

Min 2 years as a Housekeeping Supervisor in a hotel.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Knowledge of health and safety standards in housekeeping operations.

Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Proficiency in housekeeping management software and basic computer skills.
