Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Safety & Health Representative
to support the implementation and maintenance of health and safety systems across the organisation.
This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their career in health and safety. You will assist in ensuring compliance, conducting inspections, and promoting a strong safety culture within the business.
Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety Support
- Assist in implementing and maintaining health and safety policies and procedures
- Support compliance with legal and company safety requirements
- Help monitor safety practices across all departments
Risk Assessments & Inspections
- Assist in conducting risk assessments and identifying hazards
- Support regular safety inspections and audits
- Ensure corrective actions are followed up and completed
Incident Reporting & Investigation
- Assist in recording and investigating incidents, accidents, and near misses
- Help identify root causes and support corrective actions
- Maintain accurate records of all safety-related incidents
Training & Awareness
- Support health and safety training initiatives
- Help promote awareness and a culture of safety within the organisation
- Ensure employees follow safety procedures
Documentation & Administration
- Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation
- Ensure documentation is up to date and audit-ready
- Assist in preparing safety reports and compliance documentation
Continuous Improvement
- Support initiatives to improve safety systems and processes
- Assist in implementing best practices in workplace safety
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts
Minimum Requirements
- Basic knowledge of health and safety practices
- Previous experience in a safety or compliance role (advantageous)
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to learn and develop in a safety-focused role
Preferred Qualifications
- Qualification or training in Occupational Health & Safety or related field
- Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
- Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards
