Large hotel complex in the Sandton area is currently recruiting for a Hotel Reservations Manager overseeing full reservations function for the onsite hotels & managing a staff of 10+ staff.
Responsible for:

Maximize sales and marketing opportunities within the hotel’s policies, procedures and standards.

Ensure excellent customer service levels are maintained when processing reservations and guest requests.

Access and interpret human resource policies and legislative requirements for efficient implementation.

Facilitate effective interdepartmental co-operation to ensure guests’ expectations are anticipated and exceeded.

Manage room inventory with diligent adherence to checklists and systems.

Maintain the data integrity of the property management system with respect to guest profiles, history, rates,
-
Manage the revenue management system with strict adherence to the hotel’s standards and audit preparation requirements.

Build and maintain relationships with existing and new clients.

Maximize on revenue opportunities and drive the reservations team to exceed budget.

Work as part of a team or individually to deliver high quality standards.
Requirements:

Matric (NQF 4)
-
Good numeracy, verbal and written English skills (NQF 4)

Hotel / tourism school diploma or degree; at least three years’ experience in a similar position and extensive knowledge of systems; Opera & Nebula

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in this role

Experience in large city hotels / hotel.

Flexible regarding working hours, including work weekends if required.

Computer literate

Great ability to deal with both staff and guest issues.

Previous experience of managing a team

Must experience with both Individual and Group bookings.
