We are seeking a reliable and vigilant CCTV Control Room Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring surveillance systems, ensuring the safety and security of company premises, staff, and assets. The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to respond quickly to incidents, and maintaining accurate records of events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor CCTV cameras and surveillance systems continuously.
- Identify and report suspicious activities or security breaches.
- Record incidents and maintain accurate logs of all events.
- Communicate effectively with security personnel and management regarding incidents.
- Ensure all CCTV equipment is functioning properly and report faults where necessary.
- Follow company procedures and security protocols at all times.
- Assist with investigations by reviewing and retrieving CCTV footage when required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
- Previous experience in a CCTV monitoring or control room environment will be advantageous.
- PSIRA registration (advantageous).
- Strong attention to detail and observation skills.
- Good communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Basic computer literacy.
