About the Role
Ubuntu Logistics is seeking a skilled and driven Project Manager to oversee fibre optic and telecommunications projects, with a strong focus on WiFi network deployment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing end-to-end projects in the telecoms environment, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee fibre optic and WiFi network installation projects from planning to completion
- Coordinate field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient project execution
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring targets are met
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
- Conduct site inspections and resolve on-site challenges
- Manage client relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Handle project documentation, reporting, and handover processes
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in fibre optics, telecommunications, or WiFi networks
- Strong understanding of fibre installation, wireless technologies, and telecom infrastructure
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent leadership and team coordination skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office
- Valid driver’s license (essential)
- Relevant certification or qualification in Project Management or Telecommunications (advantageous)
