Ecowize is looking for an experienced New Business Development & Technical Consultant - Bio Security to join the Products division in Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and growing sales by providing customers with integrated biosecurity solutions, including hygiene programmes, sanitation systems, chemicals, equipment, and technical support services.
High-level Objectives:
- Identify new markets and customer needs, to ensure value added service.
- Promote the company’s products.
- Manage sales targets effectively.
- Achieving daily and weekly call ratios to ensure targets are met.
- Ensure business development.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
- Drive achievement of monthly and annual sales targets.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities.
- Develop and manage strategic customer accounts.
- Promote complete biosecurity solutions rather than individual products.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and supply agreements.
- Conduct product demonstrations, trials, and customer presentations.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and contracts.
Technical Consulting
- Conduct biosecurity risk assessments and hygiene audits.
- Develop and implement cleaning and disinfection programmes.
- Recommend suitable chemical and equipment solutions.
- Assist customers with implementation, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Provide technical guidance and support.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with farm owners, veterinarians, production managers, procurement teams, quality managers, and operations personnel.
- Conduct regular customer visits and training sessions.
- Ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
- Respond promptly to customer concerns and operational challenges.
Administration & Reporting
- Maintain accurate CRM records.
- Prepare sales forecasts and monthly reports.
- Monitor customer stock levels and consumption trends.
- Assist with debtor management where required.
Products & Solutions
You will promote a comprehensive range of biosecurity products and services, including:
- Surface disinfectants
- Water sanitizers
- CIP chemicals
- Open plant cleaning chemicals
- Foaming detergents
- Acid cleaners
- Teat dips and footbaths
- Hand hygiene systems
- Rodent control solutions
- Fly control solutions
- Dosing and foaming systems
- High-pressure cleaning equipment
Requirements:
- Matric/Grade 12.
- Relevant Diploma or Degree is advantageous
- 2 to 5 years' technical sales experience.
- Experience within agriculture, animal health, food safety, hygiene, or related industries.
- Knowledge of dairy, pig production, or food processing environments.
- Understanding of cleaning and disinfection chemicals.
- Biosecurity and disease prevention principles.
- Cleaning, sanitation, and hygiene programmes.
- Food safety standards such as HACCP and ISO 22000.
- Animal production systems.
- Water quality and microbiology fundamentals.
- Chemical application and compatibility.
- Strong consultative selling ability.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Relationship-building and negotiation expertise.
- Commercial and financial awareness.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and customer-focused.
- Ability to work independently and manage a sales territory effectively.
