About the Role
Eve Consolidated (Pty) Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Machinist to join our Cooking Oil Refinery Project in the Western Cape. The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing, repairing, modifying, and maintaining precision-engineered components to support plant operations and ensure equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate conventional and CNC machines, including lathes, milling machines, drilling machines, and grinders. Manufacture, repair, and modify mechanical components according to engineering drawings and specifications. Perform precision measurements using micrometers, vernier calipers, dial gauges, and other measuring instruments. Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality and tolerance requirements. Conduct routine maintenance on workshop machinery and equipment. Assist maintenance teams with the repair and refurbishment of plant equipment. Maintain accurate records of completed work. Follow all Occupational Health and Safety procedures and company policies. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment.
Minimum Requirements
Qualified Machinist Trade Certificate or equivalent recognised qualification.
Minimum of 2–5 years' experience in a manufacturing, engineering, refinery, or industrial environment.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Experience operating manual and/or CNC machining equipment.
Strong knowledge of precision measuring instruments and machining tolerances.
Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to work overtime when required.
