The Fragrance Development Manager is a project manager in the fragrance division.
His/her duty as manager is to assist the Fragrance sales team by answering the client's briefs,
sharing market knowledge and building olfactive strategies.
SCOPE OF JOB:
Innovation
- Analyse the market and its evolution
- Create, complete and optimize a local fragrance collection fitting the market trends and expectations
- Olfactive description on new launches in the local market
Customer Centricity
- The FDM is given Fragrance projects which need to be compliant to the client brief and MANE Development Policies.
- Decide the technical & human needs of the project
- Schedule a due date together with the Sale Department and to respect it
- Ensure the brief is answered correctly
- Justify olfactive choices
- Manage the collection using tools given by the company (classification of fragrances, stability test, GPM)
- Advise Sales department & clients on their olfactive choices
- Active participation in Marketing presentations by allocating Fragrances adapted to concepts.
- Provide a critical and objective opinion to perfumers on technical & sensorial performances to improve their creation to fit the brief better.
- Request for samples made up for projects
- Schedule stability tests
- Schedule completion of projects and send to client
- Maintain continuous contact with the Sales Department locally and of other Subsidiaries in Africa.
- Inform sales on any possible difficulties and to justify his/her olfactive choices
- Share olfactive knowledge with the MANE evaluation community.
- Engage with clients and visit customers together with Sale representative and/or Marketing.
