We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to identify new business opportunities, build strategic relationships, and drive company growth. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding the company’s client base, partnerships, market presence, and revenue opportunities.
The ideal candidate is commercially minded, proactive, and confident in engaging with clients, partners, and stakeholders across multiple industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, suppliers, and stakeholders
- Generate leads and manage the sales pipeline from initial engagement through to closing
- Prepare proposals, presentations, quotations, and business development documentation
- Conduct market, competitor, and industry research to identify growth opportunities
- Support contract negotiations and partnership discussions
- Collaborate with internal teams to align client needs with company solutions and services
- Attend meetings, networking events, conferences, and industry engagements as required
- Maintain CRM systems, business development reports, and pipeline tracking
- Contribute to strategic growth planning and revenue generation initiatives
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for innovation and expansion
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Communications, or related field (preferred)
- 3–7 years’ experience in business development, sales, partnerships, or account management
- Proven ability to generate leads and convert opportunities into business outcomes
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management ability
- Strong organisational and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
Advantageous
- Experience in technology, education, XR/AR/VR, training, digital innovation, or startup environments
- Existing industry networks and partnership experience
- Experience responding to tenders, proposals, or grant opportunities
- CRM and sales pipeline management experience
Pay: R15 000,00 - R18 000,00 per month
