Our client has an opportunity available for a Food Technologist based in Gauteng, who wants to be in sales.
Requirements:
- A ND or BTech or BSc in Food Science
- It would be helpful to have prior experience working in the food sector.
- A willingness to travel both domestically and abroad.
- Willingness to put in extra hours as and when needed.
- English communication abilities, both written and spoken.
Responsibilities:
- Product trials for brand-new items.
- Development of goods and new markets.
- Testing and evaluation of goods on-site as requested by customers.
- Development of new goods for butchers and large factories to open up new markets.
- Communicating with customers and senior food technologists.
- Providing technical advice to butchers, such as advice on product quality, production capacities, and the implementation of quality control/assurance systems to increase production output and product shelf life.
- Identifying potential new markets for new business and analyzing and reporting on sales leads connected to clients.
