A wedding planner / event manager is required for a well known 5* property in the heart of Johannesburg , the ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years wedding coordination experience in a 5* property, be well presented and speak very good English and if possible a second International Language.
Minimum Requirements to be considered include :

Matric Certificate, Certifications or courses in wedding planning can enhance knowledge and credibility.

Previous experience in wedding planning or coordination, with a focus on weddings, is a must.

Demonstrated success in executing events of varying sizes and complexities

Computer literate – working knowledge of Micros, Opera and Opera Sales & Catering advantageous

Strong organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks, timelines, and details effectively.

Attention to detail is crucial to ensure that all aspects of the wedding are well-coordinated. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.

Quick thinking and the ability to troubleshoot unexpected issues that may arise during the planning process or on the wedding day.

Creativity in event design and the ability to suggest innovative ideas to enhance the overall wedding experience.

Adaptability to handle changes in plans, unexpected challenges, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.

Awareness and sensitivity to diverse cultural practices and traditions, especially if working with clients from different backgrounds.

Efficient time management skills to meet deadlines and ensure that all aspects of the wedding are well-organized.
