We are looking to employ a site foreman who will manage various building sites. The foreman will supervise the site ensuring the works are executed productively and efficiently, ensuring that deadlines are met. You will be managing your own team on site and will therefore need to hold excellent leadership skills.
You will be working hands on with the team on site carrying out various building works and leading the team ie, carpentry works, roofing works, plaster works - All works related to building. You therefore need to be an all rounder that is capable of executing the work yourself.
The foreman will try to "cost save" and be able to multi task, taking on various roles and ensuring that he works in the best interest of the company. A wide and broad knowledge of all the trades in the building industry is essential.
You will mainly be based on large fire damaged and water damaged properties from insurance claims which has substantial and large loss damages.
The foreman must be able to take instructions from management and have excellent leadership skills. You will need to report daily activity and progress to your production/operations manager. He must be able to communicate clearly and efficiently in both English and Afrikaans. A minimum of 15 years experience in this role is essential.
- A Valid drivers license is crucial - the position is not available to any candidate that does not hold a valid SA drivers license
