- Qualified Senior or FET Phase Teacher.
- Available to start immediately.
- Minimum 2 years Teaching Experience.
- Must be SACE registered.
- Teach Geography Grade 10, Social Sciences Grade 7 to 9 and Life Orientation Grade 7 to 10 using the CAPS curriculum.
- Have good teaching practice to ensure learners understand the subject content and concepts. Teach all aspects of Geography, Social Sciences and Life Orientation in line with the ATP.
- Expose learners to broad spectrum of teaching and be interactive with students.
- Have good communication skills. Able to manage students. Ensure class discipline is applied.
- Must be a team player.
- Admin required: Submit lesson plans i.e. daily, weekly and termly. Ensure subject files are kept up to date. Set up and implement learner assignments and assessments. Record learner marks (mark sheets) and do term reports. Keep register of learner attendance. Keep record of discipline for code of conduct. Have good communication skills with parents via email and/or in person.
- Attend staff meetings and workshops.
- Be able to assist with extra mural activities after school.
