Our client has an opportunity available for a Boilermaker based in Aeroton.
Requirements:
- Matric with Mathematics.
- Qualified Boilermaker.
- Engineering studies would be advantageous.
- Computer literate.
- 2 years’ post trade experience.
- Manufacturing experience- essential.
- Sound knowledge of safety working procedures.
- Willing to work overtime and stand by.
Responsibilities:
- Complete routine inspections at the start of every shift.
- Rectify problems identified in routine inspections.
- Perform work as per planned maintenance schedules.
- Rectify breakdowns to restore plant run-ability.
- Engage in marking, drilling and tapping for new part manufacture and repair.
- Dismantle, recondition and re-assemble various mechanical engineering units when brought into the workshop for repairs.
- Read and interpret drawings.
- Develop equipment as per drawings and install equipment.
- Responsible for PM preparation and execution of work.
- Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping standards in workshops, workplaces and on operational units.
- Assist other engineering departments performing certain tasks.
- Maintain all company tools in good working condition and report all defective equipment to relevant Foreman.
This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract position.
