Tsebo Catering Group is seeking an experienced, commercially minded, and highly capable Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team in KwaZulu-Natal. This role is ideal for an HR professional with strong Employee Relations and Industrial Relations experience, a strategic mindset, and the ability to partner with operational leaders to drive business performance through effective people practices. The successful candidate will take ownership of all HR-related matters within the allocated portfolio, providing both strategic and operational HR support while ensuring compliance with labour legislation, company policies, and best practice people management principles.
The candidate must have the ability to influence people through excellent interpersonal skills and impact company culture by taking an active approach. The candidate must work with the executive team and stakeholders across the business to evaluate the current company culture, assess potential gaps or opportunities, and create a strategic plan to align the organisation’s culture with its values and goals.
The ideal candidate needs to have experience working in a matrix organisation and must have project management experience with specific reference to new contracts / sites mobilisations and de-mobilisation.

- Provide strategic and operational HR support to business leaders and employees.
- Manage Employee Relations and Industrial Relations matters, including disciplinary hearings, grievances, disputes, and CCMA/Bargaining Council cases.
- Advise management on labour legislation, HR policies, and best practice people management.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with employees, unions, and key stakeholders.
- Support the management of industrial action and minimise operational disruption.
- Drive performance management, employee development, and succession planning initiatives.
- Facilitate HR and IR training for managers and employees.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure timely recruitment and workforce planning.
- Oversee onboarding, induction, and orientation of new employees.
- Ensure compliance with labour legislation, company policies, and governance requirements.
- Identify, mitigate, and report on people-related risks and compliance matters.
- Lead and support HR projects, transformation initiatives, and culture-change programmes.
- Compile HR reports and provide insights to support business decision-making.
- Promote employee wellbeing, engagement, and organisational effectiveness.

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent qualification. Advanced Employee Relations/Industrial Relations qualification will be advantageous. Minimum 5 years' experience as an HR Business Partner. Proven experience managing Employee Relations and Industrial Relations matters. Experience supporting operational business units and senior management teams. Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools. Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel within KwaZulu-Natal.
