To control the chemical dosing by operating as per plant standard procedure ensuring the continuous supply of chemicals to all systems, thus maintaining water quality with specifications.
- Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate) / Related N3 /NQF Level 4 in Water and Waste Water Treatment
- National Diploma in Water Care or equivalent will serve as an advantage
- Class IV Process Controller Classification will serve as an added advantage
- 2 years’ experience in water purification
- Valid drivers license and the ability to pass RW K53 test
Poly Electrolyte:
- Stop/start - fullest tank
- Selection of storage tanks
- Filling of stock tanks - level recordings of stock tanks, when filling tanks
- Collect samples for the laborartory as per instructions
- Selection of pumps as per WPS instructions
- Perform drop test and record readings
Ferric Chloride:
- Stop/start plant - fullest tank
- Selection of storage tanks- all tanks filled
- Filling of stock tanks - level recordings of stock tanks, when filling tanks
- Collect samples for the laborartory as per instructions
- Selection of pumps as per WPS instructions
- Control of dosage tops
- Reporting of defects plant and equipment
- Changing over of standby pumps and dosing equipment weekly
- Ensure plant cleaning of systems and flocculators
- Follow occupational health and safety standards
- Good knowledge of ferric chloride, polymer dosing plants and Lime dosing
- Good communication skills
- Good interpresonal skills
