Eve Consolidated Eve Consolidated (Pty) Ltd is expanding and is seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer to join our Cooking Oil Refinery Project in the Western Cape. This role offers the opportunity to work on the installation, maintenance, commissioning, and optimisation of industrial manufacturing equipment within a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and improve mechanical systems and manufacturing equipment.
Oversee installation and commissioning of refinery machinery.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
Troubleshoot mechanical failures and recommend solutions.
Ensure compliance with engineering standards and Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
Collaborate with project managers, production teams and contractors.
Prepare technical reports, maintenance schedules and engineering documentation.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to maximise plant efficiency.
Requirements:
BEng, BSc or BTech in Mechanical Engineering.
ECSA registration (Professional or Candidate Engineer) is advantageous.
Minimum 3 years' experience in manufacturing, processing plants, refineries or heavy industry.
Knowledge of pumps, compressors, piping systems, conveyors, valves, rotating equipment and preventive maintenance.
Experience with AutoCAD or other engineering software is advantageous.
Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver's licence will be advantageous.
