Reporting to: Group Reporting Manager
Location: Plattekloof, Cape Town
Purpose of the role:
The Senior Group Accountant is responsible for the accurate and timely production of consolidated financial information for the Company.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Assist with external JSE reporting of consolidated group financials
- Prepare separate and annual financial statements of subsidiaries companies
- Prepare actual monthly consolidated group management accounts
- Prepare annual budget and quarterly forecast consolidated group management accounts
- Assist with the group automated consolidation processes
- Group income and deferred tax reporting
- Assist with corporate transactions
- Assist with the preparation of statutory and internal reporting documents and requirements
- Assist in establishing and improving automated internal reporting
- Analyse and report on financial data
- Ad-hoc assistance to the finance team, as required
Knowledge and Experience Required:
- Chartered Accountant qualification (SA)
- 1-3 years post article experience
- FMCG Industry experience advantageous
- Syspro and Qlikview experience advantageous

- Good knowledge of manufacturing (preferably food/beverage industry)
- Deadline driven, and results orientated
- Solid analytical and reporting abilities
- Presentation and computer skills (MS Office/ERP System)
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Self-Motivated
- Takes initiative
- Good attention to detail
- Trustworthy
- Able to handle work pressure
- Driver’s licence and own transport
