About the Role
An industry leader within the food manufacturing industry is seeking a skilled Financial Manager who will oversee financial strategies and processes. This role focuses on financial planning, reporting, and analysis to ensure our financial health and compliance. You will collaborate with various departments to drive informed decision-making and contribute to the overall strategic vision of the company.
Key Responsibilities

Manage the preparation of monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.

Develop and implement financial forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management processes to support operational objectives.

Conduct thorough financial analysis and provide insights to guide business strategy and investment decisions.

Oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely invoicing and payment processing.

Monitor financial performance by establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and providing regular reporting to the executive committee.

Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and auditing requirements.

Lead and develop the finance team, promoting professional development and ensuring the team meets deadlines effectively.

Collaborate with other departments to support financial awareness and decision-making across the organization.
Requirements

The successful incumbent will have at least five (5) years' proven experience within bookkeeping.

The ability to perform full accounting duties up to trial balance.

Proficient in financial software (Evolution) and ERP systems, with advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and analysis.

Strong understanding of statutory compliance

Ability to prepare accurate reconciliations and financial reports.

Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable recommendations.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders in both English and Afrikaans.

Proven track record of working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities efficiently.
