Role Description:
- Architecture position responsible for the delivery of all technological components required for Enterprise and Fixed-line services.
- Lead the architecture, design, and integration of OSS (Operations Support Systems) within the environment, ensuring alignment with ITIL, TM Forum ODA, and eTOM frameworks.
- Oversee end-to-end OSS solution architecture, including network discovery, inventory, , events, metrics, incidents, problems, changes, provisioning and activation.
- Current toolsets include OSSI (custom assurance engine), ServiceNow (Service management and provisioning), Axiros Axess & Extract (TR069 management) and Splunk (big data).
- OSS requires extensive integration into both north- and south-bound systems, with a preference for TMF Open API’s.
- Good understanding of enterprise specific fixed-line products, e.g. SD-WAN, Fixed Mobile, Microwave and Satellite.
- Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and system owners to assess and document system requirements, high-level architecture, and integration points.
- Support demand management by evaluating new requirements, estimating high-level effort, and identifying architectural impacts and dependencies.
- Provide architectural guidance for data modelling, data warehousing, and foundational data architecture practices within OSS.
- Ensure documentation and maintenance of current and target state architectures, system inventories, and integration maps.
- Act as a subject matter expert for OSS architecture, supporting project delivery, system upgrades, ongoing operational improvements, and responses to customer RFPs.
Key Responsibilities / Outputs:
- Develop and maintain OSS architecture blueprints, standards, and best practices.
- Lead architectural reviews and provide technical oversight for OSS-related projects.
- Document and manage the OSS system inventory, CMDB, and integration points.
- Support network discovery, inventory management, and integration with ServiceNow and other platforms.
- Collaborate with BAs and PMs to ensure architectural alignment in project delivery.
- Provide high-level effort estimations and resource mapping for new demand items.
- Guide data architecture initiatives, including data modelling and warehousing for OSS.
- Ensure compliance with ITIL, TM Forum ODA, and other relevant frameworks.
- Mentor and support team members in architectural practices and knowledge sharing.
Skills & Competencies:
- Deep experience on the latest OSS architectures, inclusive of network management, physical and logical network inventory, REST integration, service assurance and data models.
- Strong understanding of, TM Forum ODA, eTOM, and related industry frameworks.
- Proficiency in data architecture, data modelling, and data warehousing concepts.
- Ability to document and communicate complex architectures to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and estimation skills.
- Experience in demand management, backlog grooming, and agile delivery environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years’ experience in Telecommunications OSS domains.
- Proven track record in designing and delivering OSS solutions in large-scale telecom environments.
- Certifications in ITIL, TOGAF, TM Forum, or similar frameworks (preferred).
- Experience with ServiceNow Telecommunications Modules (TSM, TSOM, OM and TNI will be advantageous)
- Demonstrated experience in data architecture, modelling, and warehousing.
