We are searching for a meticulously organised warehouse assistant to ensure the safe and fast achievement of delivery-related goals. The warehouse assistant should review supply chain documentation, load and offload the merchandise and/or raw materials, and execute local deliveries. You should also direct cleaning activities.
Key Duties
- Compiling and inspecting shipping-related documentation.
- Unloading incoming shipments and reviewing their contents.
- Packing stock in a neatly organized and secure fashion.
- Preparing outbound shipments ahead of delivery times.
- Driving merchandise to our regional clients.
- Monitoring inventory levels to gauge restocking needs.
- Directing and conducting routine warehouse cleaning tasks.
- Ensuring workers' adherence to stipulated safety-related protocols.
Applicant Requirements:
- Matric or equivalent qualification (NQF 4)
- Demonstrable experience as a warehouse assistant (minimum 2 years).
- Knowledgeable about relevant health, safety, and stock management guidelines.
- Working knowledge and experience of logistical & supply chain techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong numeric ability.
- Excellent customer service orientation
- Meticulous with high level of attention to detail,
- Physically fit.
