The Role
We are looking for a heavyweight Automation Test Engineer who thrives in the fast-paced world of SaaS. You won't just be writing standard regression scripts; you will be the guardian of our application’s functional integrity, scalability, and security.
Your core focus will be robust Application Testing—deeply interrogating our web applications, APIs, and complex business logic to guarantee a flawless user experience. Alongside this application-layer mastery, your superpower will be your ability to stress-test and fortify our ecosystem using advanced load and penetration testing.
What You’ll Do
- End-to-End Application Testing: Design and execute comprehensive automated testing strategies that target the application layer, ensuring seamless user journeys across complex HR workflows, QA modules, and LMS tracking.
- API & Data Validation: Rigorously test our RESTful APIs, data pipelines, and multi-tenant isolation to ensure data integrity and flawless backend-to-frontend communication.
- Build & Scale Frameworks: Design, implement, and maintain robust, scalable automated testing frameworks (UI and API) from scratch.
- Stress the System: Own the load and performance testing strategy, using tools to simulate high-traffic enterprise environments and identify application bottlenecks before release.
- Secure the Platform: Conduct regular application-level penetration testing and vulnerability scanning (targeting OWASP Top 10 risks) to safeguard sensitive enterprise data.
- Integrate CI/CD: Embed your application, load, and security test suites directly into our deployment pipelines to enable seamless, confident continuous delivery.
What We’re Looking For
- SaaS Pedigree: Proven experience working within a fast-paced B2B SaaS environment. You understand multi-tenancy, complex user roles, and the fast iteration cycles of software-as-a-service.
- Advanced Application Testing: Deep expertise in functional application testing, UI automation, and comprehensive API testing (Postman, RestAssured, etc.). You know how to test complex state changes and data-heavy workflows.
- Automation Mastery: Strong technical proficiency in industry-standard automation frameworks and languages (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Python, JavaScript, or C#).
- Load & Performance Expertise: Hands-on experience with load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling, Locust) to stress-test application infrastructure.
- Security & Pen-Testing Mindset: Practical experience with penetration testing tools (e.g., OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite) to proactively catch application-layer security flaws.
- Cloud & Pipeline Savvy: Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and integrating tests into CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions, GitLab, etc.).
