Job Description:
We are looking for a highly qualified Twin-Steer Truck Driver with a valid Code 14 driver’s license and a Professional Driving Permit (PDP). The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience driving twin-steer trucks, with a solid record of safe and efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities:
· Operate twin-steer trucks to transport goods and materials to various destinations.
· Ensure the safe loading, securing, and unloading of cargo.
· Adhere to all traffic laws and road safety regulations, maintaining a high standard of driving.
· Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in excellent working condition.
· Maintain accurate records of trips, including delivery logs, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
· Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and site personnel to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues.
· Ensure compliance with company policies and safety protocols at all times.
Requirements:
· Valid Code 14 driver’s license with a valid PDP.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience driving twin-steer trucks.
· Proven experience in the safe and efficient operation of heavy vehicles.
· Contactable references from previous employers.
· Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for heavy vehicle operation.
· Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance.
· Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanour.
· Reliable, punctual, and able to manage the physical demands of the job.
