ProStaffSelect are in search of a dedicated, highly creative & skilled hands-on CHEF TOURNANT / JUNIOR SOUS CHEF to assist the head chef with the daily 6 course menus. A young chef who is excited by new cuisine and aspires to growing within a highly skilled and talented team to take over / relieve the head chef when he's overseas or on leave. Someone who's a natural leader in the kitchen, a chef with a noticeable creative flair who's trustworthy, uses initiative and keen to take on responsibilities while driving quality, consistency and culinary standards.
REQUIREMENTS:

Cheffing qualification with at least 3 years' experience in a leading EAT OUT Top 20 Brigade

Confident in working with a variety of dishes, special dietary requirements, Vegan and Vegetarian.

Exceptional knowledge of food preparation and food service for a variety of cuisine styles

Well organised and systematic in delegating duties, planning work schedules and staff

Excellent communication skills and computer proficiency.

Thorough understanding of health and hygiene practices for food handlers

Passion for kitchen management – including all kitchen administration, general hygiene and people management

Strong leadership and management skills with a calm personality when dealing with stressful situations

Computer literacy will be essential in terms of dealing with stocks, menu and recipe costings and gross profits
