General Worker performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on buildings, mechanical equipment and utility systems. Performs minor and major repair of all buildings and equipment. Undertake activities associated with maintenance of facilities, cleanliness of designated areas and proving support during the re-location of office furniture/equipment in accordance with laid down instructions
EDUCATION
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Matric, NQF level 4 or any other equivalent qualification
CERTIFICATIONS AND TRAINING COURSES
General maintenance training
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Two years working experience in maintenance environment
INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of methods used in maintenance including the following trades: carpentry, plumbing, glass replacement, painting, appliance repair, standard practices and tools used in the maintenance and repair of building facilities, safety practices and procedures relating to building trades.
