The Reach Truck Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating reach trucks to move, lift, stack, retrieve, and store pallets and materials within the warehouse. The role supports accurate stock handling, efficient warehouse operations, and a safe working environment.
- Valid and applicable Reach Truck Operator certification/licence.
- Previous reach truck operating experience preferred.
- Warehouse or logistics experience advantageous.
- Basic ability to read and understand workplace and safety instructions.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Physically fit and able to work in a warehouse environment.
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work as part of a team.
- Operate reach trucks safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures.
- Load, unload, move, and store pallets and materials in designated locations.
- Retrieve and place stock at various racking levels.
- Conduct pre-shift inspections and report equipment defects or safety concerns.
- Ensure loads are stable, secure, and within equipment capacity.
- Follow warehouse traffic rules, safety procedures, and operating instructions.
- Assist with stock movements, put-away, replenishment, picking, and dispatch activities.
- Ensure stock is handled carefully to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate stock locations and report discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Keep work areas clean, safe, and organised.
- Use PPE and comply with all workplace health and safety requirements.
- Perform other warehouse duties as reasonably required.
