The Retail Store Manager is responsible for the overall management and performance of the retail store. The role ensures achievement of sales targets, profitability, customer service standards, stock control, staff management, and compliance with company policies and operational procedures. The Store Manager is accountable for creating a productive, customer-focused, and commercially successful retail environment.

Sales & Profitability
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Monitor daily sales performance and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Drive promotional campaigns and upselling initiatives.
- Control operating expenses to maintain targeted profit margins.
- Analyze sales trends and customer buying patterns.
Store Operations
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the store.
- Ensure the store opens and closes according to company procedures.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, merchandising, and presentation.
- Ensure pricing accuracy and correct product labeling.
- Monitor compliance with health, safety, and security requirements.
Stock & Inventory Control
- Manage stock levels to minimize shortages and overstocking.
- Conduct regular stock counts and cycle counts.
- Investigate stock variances and implement corrective measures.
- Ensure proper receiving, storage, and issuing of merchandise.
- Reduce shrinkage, theft, and stock losses.
Customer Service

4. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- Diploma or certificate in Retail Management, Business Management, or a related field will be advantageous.
Experience
- 3–5 years retail supervisory or management experience.
- Experience in a high-volume retail environment.
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets.
