Overview:
Position exist within the Packing Department at Durban Rice Plant invite applicants to apply for this position. This position will report to the Production Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect pallets prior to stacking.

Use the correct pallet size for packing and ensure pallets are covered with pallet sheet covers.

Stack all products neatly according to pallet configuration.

Ensure the correct number of packets are in the bales.

Place the correct barcode labels for the relevant products.

Inspect the products for any damages or quality issues.

Check if the date code is correct.

Ensure that housekeeping is always maintained.

Ensure compliance with all GMP and all food safety rules.

Report any food safety or quality non-conformances to your supervisor.

Always comply with all safety rules.

Report any near misses.
Qualifications:
- Minimum: NQF 4 or Grade 12 or similar relevant qualification

12 months’ experience in a similar environment.
