Job Description:
We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Dispatch / Site Manager to oversee daily operations at our production and cold storage facility.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing production workflow, supervising staff, controlling stock and inventory, and ensuring efficient and accurate dispatch operations while maintaining high standards of hygiene and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily production, processing, and dispatch operations
- Manage and supervise staff to ensure productivity and quality standards
- Control stock, inventory, and stock rotation (FIFO)
- Ensure accurate weighing, labelling, and dispatch documentation
- Maintain full product traceability (batch control, delivery notes, etc.)
- Monitor cold storage units and ensure correct temperature control
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, hygiene, and food safety
- Coordinate daily dispatching of orders
- Identify and report stock discrepancies, equipment faults, and operational issues
Requirements:
- Proven experience in production, food processing, or cold storage environment
- Experience working on Meat Matrix software (essential)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Good organisational and administrative ability
- Understanding of stock control and cold chain management
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and hygiene standards
