RCL FOODS is recruiting for a Team leader to join our Milling division based in Pretoria West. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing operators on shift to execute production operations, and operate SCADA interface of PLC to transfer flour and products to the designated processes and packing lines.
Ensure execution of daily and weekly plans.
Communicate production targets and performance indicators to operators.
Perform resource allocation and workload.
Assist in rotating and handling product in warehouse.
Replace damages items, shortages of replacement. Ensure all damages, defective products and equipment are adequately recorded.
Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Assist with efficiency improvement and/or reduction of operating costs.
Ensure that adequate and informative handovers are done per shift. Record performance, delays, breakdowns, incidents etc
Drive Good Manufacturing Practices within the department.
Complete routine inspections and minor repairs as required.
Assist in performing cycle stock counts, monthly stock counts and stock count preparations.
Comply with all Food, Health, Safety and Quality Standards.
Participate in programs and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness.
Participate and drive in waste reduction practices.
Report any accidents, incidents immediately to your supervisor.
Grade 12 or equivalent literacy and numeric level.
Up to 3 years of relevant working experience.
Good knowledge in overall packing processes and regulations.
